We've been busy behind the scenes, pushing out a bunch of updates to make Fixture & Finish even more practical and reliable for your custom home projects. As always, every change gets tested on real Foxhall Homes builds first, so you know these aren't just theoretical improvements – they're built for the jobsite. Our goal is always to give you tools that solve real problems, save you time, and make your business look its best.

Room Detection

One of the biggest time-savers for custom builders is getting project setup right from the start. We've made significant strides in how Fixture & Finish understands your floor plans, saving you more time upfront. Our AI engine, now powered by Google's Gemini and Document AI, delivers much more reliable and precise 'auto snapshot' room detection. This means less manual tweaking for you, and more accurate data from the start when you're setting up a new project. You can trust the system to identify rooms correctly, letting you focus on the selections themselves.

Image Processing

Presenting selections to clients or reviewing details with your team needs to be clear and professional. We've focused on making all your visual outputs — from floor plans to product images — look their best, automatically. Your PDF plan previews now render at a much higher resolution, making them clearer and easier to read, especially when you're zooming in on details. Any existing 'snapshots' you've already defined will automatically rescale to fit these sharper images, keeping your work accurate. To help you define those precise areas, we've also improved the image cropping tool. You can now resize crop boxes from all four sides, not just the corners, giving you more control over what you highlight. Beyond plans, the consistency and quality of your product images make a huge difference in client presentations. Fixture & Finish now automatically refines all your selection images. This means they'll be consistently oriented, have transparent backgrounds flattened to white, trimmed of excess whitespace, and padded to a square aspect ratio. The result? All your images look uniform and professional in selection lists and client presentations, without you needing to spend time editing them yourself. This ensures every document you share reflects the high quality of your work. These updates are about practicality and precision.
