Patch Notes - November 13th, 2025

We added a few enhancements to our newly created task management system and we made sharing your specifications super easy. Plus a few tweaks to how you navigate through projects.

Improvements

As they say, "necessity is the mother of invention." We've been knee deep in punch out for several homes this fall and we needed an easy way to bring all of our new Tasks out into the field.

Task Print Outs

Download your project's tasks in a beautifully formatted print out. Save it on your phone for easy access in poor reception areas or print it out to keep on the job site. Download

When you visit your "Tasks" tab on a project you are now able to download all your tasks in either a CSV or a PDF. The CSV is great for a situation where you want to manipulate your task data for other apps you use. The PDF is a beautifully formatted printable document. A few other notes on the PDF download:

  1. Matches any filters or sorting you select on the tasks page. Meaning you can produce a print out grouped by room, owner, due date, or category. For us, this is perfect because we want tasks grouped by category for our subs to work from but then we want tasks grouped by room when are walking the house to check what's done.
  2. Includes up to 3 pictures from each task so anyone in the field can easily understand what the task relates to without having to write tons of notes.
  3. Has checkboxes you can physically mark off as you complete each item when printed out.
  4. Can be saved to your phone's files for job sites where you don't have a good internet connection.
The Tasks printout makes it easy to print and view all your tasks - grouped or sorted however is best for you. Download

Project Sharing

Building houses involves a lot of people and a lot of information. Most other apps focus on making dozens of subcontractors sign up for their software so they can get the information they need. We're taking a different approach. We think forcing your subs and trades people to use software just for you is a waste of everyone's time.

Instead, we want it to be dead simple for you to create and share information with them. With our latest features you can now easily share all of your plans and selections with your subs and vendors. Here's what you need to do:

(1) Publish a Specification Package

A specification package will create a snapshot of your plans and selections at a moment in time. This means that even if you make changes in the app, they won't necessarily be displayed until you publish a new version. You can easily control when and if new changes go live to your clients, subs, or vendors.

(2) Make Your Project Shareable

On your project edit page you can easily turn sharing on and off. Optionally, you can also:

  • set a pin to protect your data
  • write a public note that will display when entering the pin
  • write a private not that will display after the pin is entered
  • reset the shareable link token to disable old links that you might not want shared around anymore
  • copy the shareable link

(3) Share Your Project Specifications

Lastly, you can share your specifications very easily by either copying your shareable link or printing out your QR code to scan. Personally, I send our subs the link via email and print out the QR code and hang it up on the job site.

Bugfixes

In addition to all these new features, we also fixed a handful of bugs:

  1. There was a bug related to selecting page numbers and other filters on the list of all items in a project. This bug has been fixed and should no longer cause errors.
  2. Breadcrumbs were revised to allow for use on a mobile device rather than just removing them from mobile.
  3. Revised all back buttons to follow your browser history rather than a fixed location.

What's Next

We're going to continue to revise our work on tasks and project sharing. Specifically:

  1. Integrate Tasks and Detailed Drawings into specification packages. This will automatically add all Detailed Drawings and a Task Export (by category and room) to the specification package when it's generated. This will then be displayed on shareable links.
  2. Users already receive notifications when assigned a task or when mentioned on a task but there are no ways now for someone to remain aware of task's status. We're investigating some ways to allow users to opt in to being updated on a project's tasks or selections.
