How to walk a punch list on the jobsite

A punch list is the extras that never made it into selections: touch-up around a switch plate, a fence you still need to discuss, a bulkhead the painter missed. Build it on the project. Print it or export it. Walk it on a phone only if that is actually useful.

Build the list on the project

Open the project and go to Tasks. Items group by category and by room, so paint extras do not sit next to plumbing. Add what belongs on this job.

Print it or export it

Export the list as a CSV or a PDF from the app. Email it, or print it and take it to the site. Most trades would rather hold paper than a phone.

Walk it on a phone if you want

You can also share a walkthrough link. On a phone, tap Start list and mark items room by room. Nobody on site needs an account. Use this when a phone is actually handy.

How we use this at Foxhall

Carmichael's paint extras are a nine-item list: fence, switch plates, the bulkhead behind the bar. We print it for the walk. The office already sees what is left, because it is the same list.
